🐚 Cijin Shell Museum

Located on the second floor of the Cijin Seaside Park's Tourist Service Center in Kaohsiung's Cijin District, the Cijin Shell Museum boasts the largest shell collection in Taiwan and is among the most significant in Southeast Asia.

The museum houses over 2,000 species of shellfish and approximately 200 species of crabs. Highlights include rare specimens such as the "living fossil" nautilus, the impressive Dragon Palace shell, and the museum's centerpiece—a giant bivalve clam weighing over 70 kilograms.

Many of these specimens were generously donated by Mr. Huang Ge-Liang, a dedicated local collector, contributing to the museum's rich and diverse exhibits.

The museum is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, and offers free admission. It's an ideal destination for families, marine enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the wonders of the ocean.everythingying
